We just wrapped up our state float parade on Friday. I love seeing what students come up with after working on a project for so long! For this project, each student picked a different state (they weren't allowed to pick our home state) and then they had to research, write a report and create a state float illustrating what they learned. I love seeing students' creativity come out! To conclude this project, we set up a state float "parade" in which all of the other elementary students, along with the families are invited to attend. Since I work at a K-8, the middle school teachers also let older siblings come down to check out the floats. You can see some of the final floats from this year and last year above.
